Low back pain (LBP) remains a major musculoskeletal problem among informal sector workers, particularly shoe craftsmen who are exposed to prolonged static postures and repetitive tasks. Although previous studies have shown that stretching exercises and posture education can reduce LBP complaints, objective ergonomic assessments and sustainable intervention models are still limited. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a video-based microbreak stretching program combined with a workplace posture audit using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method in reducing low back pain and musculoskeletal disorder risks among shoe craftsmen in Mojokerto. This quasi-experimental study employed a pretest–posttest two-group design involving 70 participants selected through purposive sampling. The intervention group received video-guided microbreak stretching for four weeks accompanied by posture evaluation and correction, while the comparison group performed conventional workplace stretching. Outcome measures included pain intensity (Visual Analogue Scale), musculoskeletal complaints (Nordic Body Map), and ergonomic risk scores (REBA). Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and Mann–Whitney U Test. The results demonstrated a significantly greater reduction in pain intensity, musculoskeletal complaints, and REBA scores in the intervention group compared with the comparison group (p < 0.001). In conclusion, video-based microbreak stretching combined with workplace posture audit is more effective than conventional stretching in reducing low back pain and ergonomic risks. These findings highlight the importance of integrating technology-supported micro-ergonomic interventions with objective posture evaluation for informal industry workers.
